Actors refer to stage presence, but how does this relate to teachers?
Aimed specifically at teachers, this workshop will help to make you a more effective communicator.
As teachers we communicate with our students in a variety of ways – by how we use our voice, our body language and how non-verbal signals are perceived. Like actors we need to own the space and know how to use it effectively to reach all students.
‘Presence in the Classroom’ looks at how we can relate more effectively to students and provide them with the ideal learning environment.
Workshops focus on:
- How our personality can enhance our relationship with a class of students
- Identifying how we communicate either with our voice, our body language or with non-verbal signals
- Creating a more comfortable teaching style
- Classroom management
- How our voice can improve relationships with students
- Use of body language to improve aid delivery
- Speaking more effectively without having to raise your voice
Workshops can be as short as one hour or as long as a day.
